Performance Appraisals
Performance reviews are often the missing piece in the employee management puzzle, found at the bottom of the "To Do" pile of a busy employer.
They're easy to avoid, especially when things are going well. So why do them?
- to help set expectations for employees
- to define a measurement of success
- to gauge an employee's performance
- to get feedback from the employee
- to set goals for the next review.
The review is also an opportunity to give praise, reward, or notice of concern in a formal context. They provide documentation of employee performance in case of termination.
They help build a relationship and aid valuable communication between employer and employee.
